Textile Tuesday: Behind the Scenes

Lacefield textile customers are always curious about how the textile printing process works, so for this week's Textile Tuesday we are giving you a behind the scenes peek at one of our multi-color patterns as it is being printed.  Calypso Tango is a bright, five color pattern that was inspired by vintage suzani florals.  The intricate floral vine pattern was hand drawn by our in-house design team here in Atlanta.  We are proud to print our entire textile line here in the Southeast using the same rotary screen process that has been around for decades.  Watch a short video clip of the rotary process below:

Inspired Design: Textiles

Design inspiration is all around us! The vintage fretwork door below was spotted at a recent photo shoot by our design team - and was the inspiration behind our new Imperial textile pattern.  The most recent Lacefield Designs textile collection has a chinoiserie vibe featuring watercolor and block print techniques that create a fresh take on traditional design motifs.
