Look We Love: Art Walls
Curated art walls can make a big visual impact in interior design. This look has been trending online and in design magazines for years, and it is one we never tire of. Achieving this "perfectly imperfect" look is no simple task - the most visually appealing examples have either a unifying theme, color story, frame style, spacing or scale.
A great way to determine the layout of your art wall without creating unnecessary nail holes is to cut butcher paper the same size as each piece you want to display. You can arrange the butcher paper until you achieve the layout and spacing that works best on your wall.

Leopard print is a timeless fall look that we cannot get enough of! Jenna Lyons, Creative Director of J Crew, nailed it when she declared leopard print a neutral. The style is so versatile, which explains why we see it in fashion and interiors year after year... and it always looks fresh!

Inspired Design: Textiles
Design inspiration is all around us! The vintage fretwork door below was spotted at a recent photo shoot by our design team - and was the inspiration behind our new Imperial textile pattern. The most recent Lacefield Designs textile collection has a chinoiserie vibe featuring watercolor and block print techniques that create a fresh take on traditional design motifs.

Happy Earth Day!
In celebration of Earth Day, we would like to share with you the work of a local, earth-friendly, non-profit organization, re:loom.
Based in the Decatur community of Atlanta, re:loom is the weaving enterprise of the Initiative for Affordable Housing. Beautiful upcycled rugs, hammocks, placemats, purses and other small accessories are made from textile scraps and plastic bags. Skilled weavers make the unique products from textile waste that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
re:loom has created 12 full time jobs with benefits, 10 of which are held by homeless or low-income women and men struggling to provide for their families. All proceeds from the sale of re:loom products are reinvested in skills training and services for re:loom employees.
The weavers take great pride in the one-of-a-kind products they create - each one is truly a work of art!
